Frequently Asked Questions

An IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is a healthcare professional who specializes in clinical lactation care. I use evidence-based knowledge to support families with breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, and other infant-feeding challenges—from latching issues to milk supply concerns and everything in between.

Anytime! Support can be helpful during pregnancy to prepare for feeding, right after birth for latch and positioning help, or later on if challenges arise (like pain, low supply, or returning to work). It’s never too early or too late to reach out.

Yes! I offer both in-person and virtual consultations. Virtual support can be just as effective, and it’s a convenient option for families outside the local area or those who prefer care from home.

We'll start with a detailed history of your pregnancy, birth, and feeding experience. Then, I’ll observe a feeding (if possible), provide hands-on guidance or suggestions, and work with you to create a personalized care plan that supports your goals.

Absolutely. Whether you’re breastfeeding/chestfeeding, supplementing, an exclusive pumper or using another combination of feeding options - my goal is to support your informed decisions with compassion and respect. Every family's journey is unique, and so is the care I provide.
